House

Here's a pic of the house with some of the flowers in bloom.........

Don't you love our 'garage'? Since we don't have one..... we park under the walnut tree to get some shade.

A day at the park

This is Hailey enjoying the park..............she slept the whole time.

Here is our monkey - he climbed this on his own by bracing his feet against the posts......... Another kid had tried and Jackson had to show him how it's done. He is a little know-it-all already!! He is always telling us how things need to be and that we are wrong.

Maggie is such a character. She is talking really well and still wants to do everything that Jackson does. However, she is starting to get an imagination and mind of her own. She plays at the park really well but loves to do the monkey bars - because Jackson does........... so I have to "save" her a lot as she hangs from a bar since she can't go forward and she can't go backward.

Jackson rode this bike to the park and back. It's only 3 blocks each way but he didn't whine at all and was quite proud of himself for making it. I love the wide street and Maggie running alongside. Our house is on the left, just past that boat............

Hailey baby

Most of the time Hailey is a very calm baby. She is starting to look at things - especially Matt - she loves to just stare at Matt's face. She even tolerates tummy time fairly well.
but sometimes.............. she gets sad. Jackson will go over and talk to her and try to calm her down when she cries. At least she is pretty easy to read so far - she wants food, diaper change, sleep or a change of scenery.
We love having a baby around again. They are just so darn cute!! :)

BYU GRADUATION!!

Well it's completely official - Matt has graduated with his master's!! At the last minute he decided to see if he could pull some strings so I could walk too (I didn't walk when I finished my Bachelor's in 2002) and it all worked out. They even hunted down a 2002 tassle for me :) Hailey was a great - we kept her with us when we walked and she slept the entire time. A friend came and watched Jackson and Maggie for us too. It really was neat to walk and acutally have something signify the end!! Woohoo :)

Awake baby

Here's a couple pics of Hailey when she's actually awake............. which really isn't very often :) She has been a really good baby so far. She is also starting to sleep a little better at night which means we are all happier!!

A break

One day a friend called to see if she could take Jackson and Maggie for a few hours.......... as soon as I told them they immediately put their shoes on and went to wait on the front steps. Sad that they were so eager to get away........... but I know it's good for them to go places where they get to be the focus without having a baby there constantly.

Hailey - bath at home

Here we are giving Hailey a bath. As you can see I had a lot of help......... The novelty is starting to wear off a little bit for Jackson and Maggie but they are still doing fairly well with a new baby around.

She hardly cried at all but she was very glad to wrapped up and warm at the end.

Welcome baby Hailey

Just after we got home the hospital.
She was born Friday August 1st at 3:48 pm. She weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and was 21 3/4" long. She has brown hair and dark eyes - they look navy blue right now.

Just before we left the hospital to come home. We only stayed for 1 day since we were all doing fine.

Jackson has been a great helper so far. He loves to hold his new little sister.

Maggie also loves her new little sister and wants to help with everything!! But she isn't very careful so it's hard to let her be really involved.......

No I didn't do Maggie's hair but it's very cute!! My friend has a litle girl and Maggie wanted her hair done too so Jade did it. I think I need to get some lessons from her :)

At the hospital - I went in for them to break my water. Then labor and delivery was only about 3 1/2 hours. It went really fast. It was nice to have it planned a little in advance. I went to the doc that morning and she said why don't you go in today and have them break your water. So we went and got the kids stuff and got them settled at a friends house before heading to the hospital. It was all really relaxed.

Sandbox

We (well, Matt really) finished the sandbox!! Personally I think the shade awning was a great idea :) The kids have had a lot of fun in it - we will just have to sweep up the sand in the house and put it back in the sandbox!

Maggie Maggie

This is what Maggie looks like when she puts a headband on herself............ hello Rambo!!

Princess Maggie. Yikes!! We are in for some trouble.

Happy 4th of July
