Flying Trapeze

We just added a trapeze to our swingset because Maggie loves to hang on anything and everything. Obviously it's a little high for them........... we just got some extra chain to lengthen it. Maybe they won't crash on the chairs anymore!!

Shaggy Maggie

Maggie could use a haircut............. especially the way it looks after she pulls out whatever hair clips I put in. The hair in her eyes doesn't seem to bother her at all - although it drives me nuts!!

Isn't summer great?!!

Maggie and Jackson enjoying ice cream cones - laying on their backs........... Kids do funny (messy) things sometimes. Okay ALL THE TIME!!

Jackson loves watermelon!! I think he could eat a whole one by himself in one sitting. It's such a great summer treat. I really like it too. Maggie always wants a bite then she goes 'yuck' and spits it in the garbage. It's not one of Matt's favorites either.

Jackson starts T-ball

Jackson started T-ball earlier this month............ he seems to be having fun. Although there isn't a lot of ball playing going on with him. He throws grass, dirt, his mitt - rarely the ball. He's the youngest on his team so it always seems worse than it is. All of the kids are doing these things by the end of their hour long game. Jackson just starts out doing it. He always wants to go again though.

That's him batting in the background. It's so funny to watch them hit and then try to get them to run to 1st base. They usually run every which way but the one they are supposed to.

Maggie usually plays at the park while Jackson is at his games. She spent the whole time learning how to do this slide. By the end she was quite the pro. She is one determined (stubborn) kiddo!!

Preschool graduation!!

What a cute graduate!! Preschool graduation is such a funny idea. This one was kind of nice because the kids put on a program for us and then there was a carnival for the kids afterward. So it was just laid back and fun. Jackson has another year of preschool so he's not officially graduated yet......

Maggie was not happy about being kept off the stage. She wanted to be up there performing with Jackson. He definitely brings out her social side. She is not nearly as outgoing if he's not around.

Jackson with his diploma - obviously I must have been keeping him from something much more fun. He gets tired of me taking pictures all the time I think.............

Thomas the train

We went to a Thomas the train day with some friends in May. Jackson and Maggie thought it was great. Maggie was especially excited about Thomas. Jackson was just glad to go on a train ride.

Of course, you can't miss the cotton candy on an outing like this................. MMMM.

Jackson is starting to look so big. I'm sure that will be even more so once this new baby is born.

Hot summer

We had a few days of hot weather, so we got out the pool and sprinklers. The kids loved having something new to do outside.

Maggie loves going down our "slip n slide". She slides farther than any of the other kids!!

Jackson in action on the slip n slide.

After the few days of hot weather it has rained pretty constantly!! Hopefully warmer days are just around the corner again. Although the cooler weather has been nice while I'm pregnant.

Golden Spike

Every year there is a reenactment of the Golden Spike. The point where the two railroads finally met, connecting coast to coast. It happens to be near here - out in the middle of nowhere!! It was fun to see the old trains and hear the old speeches.

Crazy hair!!

Sometimes Jackson wants his hair spiked........... he especially likes it when it makes him look like Lewis off of "Meet the Robinson's" If only I could just do the same for Maggie....
