Funny Maggie

Here's a funny Maggie story from this morning. On the way back from dropping Jackson off at school we stopped to watch a cardinal preening in a tree for a little while. It was really close to our apartment. When we got out of the car Maggie said "I'm going to call it to me" then she yells "TWEET, TWEET" and the bird comes!! It flew into a big tree right in front of us and made it's funny call sound a few times. Maggie then talked non stop for the next few minutes about how birds like her and they listen to her and talk to her. Oh my!!

Prego pics

Here are some pregnancy pics. I really haven't taken very many this time around. Matt was laughing at the kids decorating my belly with stickers. I said they were like bumper stickers...... anyway, Matt insisted on taking some pictures. Isn't it lovely. I feel huge this time!! I am definitely ready to be done!
Jackson and Maggie are excited about the baby and Hailey is clueless. I told her there was a baby there and she tried pushing me out of the way so she could see under me as she looked for the baby. it will be interesting to see how she handles the change. Even the other two are in for a bit of a shock I think :)
I was talking to Maggie the other day about what we were thinking of naming the baby and she said "Mom, you have to pick a name we ALL like and I don't like that one!" Uh oh.

Chuck E Cheese

Maggie wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese for her birthday. Since we didn't let them invite any friends over and we don't have any family around..... we let them choose a fun place to go for their birthdays. The closest Chuck E Cheese is just over an hour away so it was an all day activity. It was fun though. The kids ran crazy for a few hours and wore themselves out. A 8 or 9 year girl attached herself to Hailey and followed her everywhere. It was kind of nice because I didn't have to help her climb in and out of things all the time. This other little girl did it. Maggie and Jackson acted like they go to Chuck E Cheese all the time and ran around with their cup of tokens playing all the games.

Kids

Maggie got a scooter for her birthday so we headed outside to try it out. She asked for one with training wheels...... I think she will outgrow it really fast but figured Hailey wouldn't mind the hand me down too much. Yes, that is our apartment building in one of the pictures. I thought our apartment days were over with our first house!! Oh well. At least it's temporary and we get a whole summer with no yard work!! :) However, a yard is probably the one thing I miss the most about having a house. The kids tend to go a little crazy inside when they don't get their active playtime outside.

Maggie Maggie

Maggie's birthday was fun. It's always fun to see the excitement on their faces as they see their cake and presents. Matt and I were both not feeling well and we had to fit the party in quickly before heading off to a spring music program at Jackson's school..... but we did it. Maggie was happy to see all the princess stuff and declared her presents were "just what she wanted!" She is such a funny girl. She talks non stop most of the time about anything and everything. She also repeats everything - not things she hears but the things she says. She will say each thing 4 times or more unless you stop her. I don't know if she is trying to correct her sentence structure or what but it tends to drive us nuts :) She loves to dance, sing and perform in any way she can. She still loves to play with 'girl toys' usually little people that she sets up in families. She plays a lot of fighting, boy games with Jackson also. She will enjoy it as Hailey gets older and they can play more girl games together. Hailey seems to love babies and animals so they should get along fairly well. Maggie is excited for school in the fall when she can start preK.
