Maggie was very concerned as we all sang Happy Birthday to her. I don't know what she was thinking but her expression is great!!
This is her ladybug cake. It was fun to make and Jackson loved to help.
She really liked opening presents and played with some of quietly for a long time while there was complete chaos around her. All the other kids were boys and they were going wild with Nerf guns - while Maggie played with a doll house toy :)
Matt was working on things outside so to keep the kids busy I had them "paint" the fence. A bucket of water and a couple of paint brushes kept them busy for quite a long time (I read it in a magazine somewhere :) )
Matt fixing the hose bib that burst LAST spring!! It's so great to have him done with his thesis. He is in a better mood and he has time to do things.Jackson said he wanted to go bowling when Matt was done with his thesis ......... and it's DONE!! So we went bowling!! I especially love that Jackson adjusts the angle of the ramp just like he watched Matt do. Sorry the video is sideways - maybe someone can tell me how to fix that??
I love Maggie's video because she runs away. She did it every time she bowled. She would push the ball and then run to stand on the carpet - where she would point and say "look, Maggie ball!"
Jackson has learned about book on tape at preschool - so we got some from the library for him to do at home - and whatever Jackson does...... Maggie does!! It has kept them busy while I make dinner or quieted them down on a crazy day - so I have enjoyed it too.
This is one of their coolest toys......... these marble run pieces attach to the glass with suction cups so you can make all kinds of different tracks for your marbles to run on.
Since we were in Florida for Easter we waited until we got home to color eggs and do an easter egg hunt. As you can see Jackson thought it was great.
Maggie enjoyed finding eggs too - she decided it was fun after watching Jackson get excited.
Their prize was a bubble gun. They have had a lot of fun with these since.
Snow at the beginning of April - just after we got back from Florida!!
A very nice day just recently - still in April. It's crazy how extreme the weather range gets this time of year.
