These guys are playing a game called 'color guard'. It was in the most recent issue of Family Fun magazine. One person guards the bucket that has things of different color in it. They close their eyes and the other players come and chose something from the bucket (we used plastic easter eggs :) ). They take their egg away and hide it behind their backs or not - depending on their age. The guard then opens their eyes and names a color. If you have that color you have to run and get it into the bucket before you get tagged. You can throw it to the bucket but if you miss you still have to get it into the bucket before you get tagged or your egg gets stolen. We played inside and outside. They loved it. We had to make some rule adjustments for Maggie who would get tagged everytime but it was still a lot of fun.
